Earth Hour

March 28th, is Earth Hour! At 8:30pm to 9:30pm(your local time) please turn off your lights, appliances, or however else you want to participate! But please participate as the future of the global environment is in our hands! Let's see what we can do in just 60 minutes of our time!

I will eat candle lit dinner and go for a walk!

A book lovers dream house

When I saw this, I had a bit of a moment! We have been talking about bookshelves on this blog, or rather I have been talking about them a lot, and look at this! Wonderful.

I love all the glass in the house, perhaps a bit clinical for me, but it's so transparent. The fact that you can see the book shelve from every room, is great!

Like I said from every room. The centre of the house, as any library should be :)

Beautiful windows.

AND you can see the bookshelf even from outside, ok my dream home that I will never be able to afford!

Kraus Shoenberg beautiful house! I about fall off my chair and drooled a bit when I saw this.

Hot Look of the Week

Such a classic and fun outfit. I adore the high waisted skirt with belt, and the rich blue colours. Also great hair! Those better not be open toed shoes with stockings!

Hideous Things

Sorry but this is too much! You don't need to wear dead animals on your feet! We already wear enough leather shoes and jackets, but to use fur for shoes eeeeeeeeeek

And on top of that these are just hideous!

The Enchanted Doll

Must check out this site The Enchanted Doll! These are actual dolls, they are pristine! I know I am a bit old for dolls, but these are amazing works of art! They look like paintings. The detail in the clothing and accessories alone is brilliant. I am so in love!

Battery Gardens

Took this in New York, while at our friends wedding. I love the colours and darkness of the photo.

Kissing List

Posted by A Cup of Joe. I love this idea. You can make a list for where you have kissed a guy and maybe you would like to kiss a guy?

Following Joanna's additions mine would be 'on a surf beach', 'in the forest' and 'at a stop light while riding our bikes'.

What would you add to the list?

Shoes......that I don't like so much

OK Seriously. Nothing attractive about these ones.

NONONO Sorry I have nothing else to say.

These are just too much. ALSO I don't think it is at all attractive when women wear stockings with open toed shoes.

At least she is not wearing stockings.

These could be ok.

All photos from Jack and Jill. You know some of these shoes are just about being out there, I don't think they are neither nice nor attractive. Of course all these photos are from fashion shows, so I am not surprised! And also don't be commenting on here that shoes are not for comfort but for the look, which I agree with, some shoes however are eye sores :) But seriously would you pay upwards to $1,000 for one of these?

OK and one for comfort! NO WAY are these even remotely comfortable. I bet you can barely walk from the apartment to the cab and cab to the restaurant to sit!

Yellow and Fuzz

Thigh Highs

This week Garance Dore did a post about thigh high boots! I do love them.....on these ladies...then again these ladies look like the legs are up to the sky! I think the thigh high boot looks really good on a certain physique...meaning you have to have some leg!

Lovely Friends

My friends, I just love this photo of them :)

Gustavo Aimar

Beautiful works by Gustavo Aimar.
Found via Creature Comforts.

I sort of drooled when I saw this picture. I love floor to ceiling bookshelves! My mom always gives me a hard time about keeping all these old books I collect from bazaars and flea markets, but I love them all so much I can never get rid of them. How do you feel about books?

What a difference a wall makes!

I adore the pink on the what used to be brick wall!

I think that piece on the wall, whatever that may be, a door, a piece of metal, really gives this kitchen space such an interesting feel. Oh and I love the dolley chair!

Oh this kitchen wall/door, with the variety of wall papers is amazing. I wish I had to courage to just paste a bunch of different wall paper on my walls all at once!

I think this may be one of my favorites! All the pipes really provide a beautiful backdrop, it is as if they become the new wallpaper. I love it.

Great wall.

The airiness and brightness of this space is great, and of course I love the wall colour AND the deer in the corner of the room.

Check out this people Manhatten loft space! I love the lightness of the space, and the different wall spaces, that truly define this unique place. A feature wall in a distinct colour can really make a difference in an open space.

Photo of the Day

Don't you feel like this sometimes?
